It's the (2nd) most wonderful time of the year...

Next to Christmas, Day Out With Thomas is the most exciting day of the year. Today Thomas made his annual appearance in Austin and so (of course) we headed down to the Convention Center to see him, take a ride and enjoy the festivities. It's kind of funny - you pay like $16 per ticket to ride the train, and all it does is back up for about 4 miles through the absolute worst ghetto nasty part of Austin, and then go forward again back to the convention center. The entertainment (for me anyway) is watching all these 3 and 4 year old hanging their heads out the windows and waving and yelling 'hello' to the...um...lets just call them the "residents" of said ghetto nasty part of Austin.
But we had a lot of fun! We met the Martindales down there and Cooper and Luke had a ball together. They loved it.

You just have the most fun as a family! How cute are these pictures? Cooper must have been on a "Thomas High" the rest of the day! Very fun! Thanks for sharing -

I went last year and you are so right about it being the ghetto...once was enough for me. You're a good mom.
