The day after Thanksgiving we headed down to San Antonio with our friends Blair and Wendy Jones and Anthony and Stacy LeFeber (with their 2 kids Jaxson & Allie). We all stayed at the Marriott Rivercenter (Thank you Vicki). Every year they have a "Lighting of the Riverwalk". It's huge -- thousands of people show up for it. We first went to the Alamo where they had choirs singing and kid's dance companies performing and then Santa came to light the tree and the plaza around the Alamo. All white lights - very cool. Fun, festive atmosphere. Then everyone heads over to the Riverwalk and about and hour later they light all the trees lining the river with colored lights and then there is a parade of boats decorated (like floats) with lots Christmas lights on them. It was a beautiful night - I think it only got down to the high 60's and we all had a great time.
